We are sad to report the passing of former employee Patricia Derickson on October 1, 2025. Patricia was the Fine Arts Division secretary for 21 years, starting in 1975. She also earned her AA degree from DVC. After retiring from full-time work, Patricia later returned to work part-time in the International Students Admission office. In her retirement bio, she remarked how much she loved working at DVC, and she developed long-lasting friendships with fellow colleagues. Patricia’s retirement was filled with family time, hiking, and touring with her husband in their ’48 Ford.
